They’re human, and they’re just like us;
Look! here comes another packed bus!
Back to their lands chase them?
No! we will embrace them;
They’re dangerous? What’s all the fuss?

Sometime later…….

We really should give them a break;
A generous slice of the cake.
Sure, tensions they’ve fanned,
But we must understand
And be tolerant, for heaven’s sake.

Later still……

They’re not really fitting in well.
The differences starting to tell.
They’re mostly on welfare;
Their hobby is warfare;
The neighborhood’s going to hell.

And …well you know the rest….

We warily walk down the street,
And scrutinize strangers we meet.
What’s under those veils?
High explosives and nails?
We make a disordered retreat.
