The seed that’s planted in the endless rows,
With irrigation sprouts, emerges, grows.
But take away the sprays that make the rain,
And witness then, the graveyard of the grain,
As each seed shrinks and withers where it lies,
As in its blasted shell the life force dies —
A desolation sown thick with the dead,
Where could have been a field of golden bread.

To plant into the ground when parched and dry —
To throw the dice, the seed of wheat, of rye,
Upon the dust — to gamble with the gods;
Or else to irrigate the tumbled sods
And watch the seedlings germinate and thrive,
So those who would destroy the dams — survive.

Google “Equity” — Equality of Outcome

You surely must have heard of “equity”,
For it’s the latest catchcry of “The Woke”.
It’s part of Google’s mad diversity
Instructions — they are serious, no joke.
Perhaps they’ve just been snorting too much coke.
How else could they come up with such bullshit?
It really isn’t difficult to poke
Large holes in Google’s brain-washing, to wit:
Science tells us I.Q.s vary — read the lit!
You can’t make a silk purse from a sow’s ear!
If you think otherwise then you’re a twit —
You’ll get a job at Google — never fear,
For they think everyone has the same brain.
Hey Google! I suggest you search “insane”!

Rid us of this Troublesome Scientist!

He says the reef’s as healthy as can be!
Why can’t he just shut up and take the dough!
And whether he’s on land or out at sea,
He says the reef’s as healthy as can be!
Why can’t this stupid physicist agree
With us, and with our tangled tale of woe?
He says the reef’s as healthy as can be!
Why can’t he just shut up and take the dough!

Transparent Togs

The Emperor is wearing his new clothes;
They hide the naked truth, it’s plain to see.
Most everyone throughout the Empire knows,
The Emperor is wearing his new clothes.
And everywhere the stylish monarch goes,
All but the little children, they agree,
The Emperor is wearing his new clothes;
They hide the naked truth, it’s plain to see.

Nyet

The mystery at last is solved.
The Russians, it seems, weren’t involved.
So how on Earth did Donald win?
Americans voted him in.

Kickin’ It

I’m sorry to tell you this chicks,
But some guys will always be pricks.
They’ll put in the boot
And think it a hoot,
For that’s how these blokes get their kicks.

A Climate of Fear

The scientists say that we are bound to bake!
The trace gas CO2 will cook our goose.
You doubt it? Don’t you know, for goodness sake,
The scientists say that we are bound to bake!
So what that most of them are on the take!
And with the truth tend to play fast and loose —
The scientists say that we are bound to bake!
The trace gas CO2 will cook our goose.

Fairies at the Bottom of the World

The yanks will soon be exporting their oil,
For they’ve a leader, and his name is Trump.
He brings each Democrat’s blood to the boil,
By putting Yankee oil in every sump.
The media, on his head take a dump,
For cutting all the tape that’s red and green.
But night and day the wells are drilled, and pump
Black gold — more than the country’s ever seen.
But in Australia we think that it’s mean
To extract gas and oil; we leave it there,
And worship energy that’s bright and clean.
We’re virtuous, and for the Earth we care —
“No oil or gas or coal!” we loudly sing,
“It’s wind and sunshine we’ll be exporting!”

Manifesto

What manifesto? I have searched in vain
To find it on the net — it’s disappeared!
Those writings are a window to his brain.
I wish to peer through it, see what he feared,
His twisted thoughts. I have to say it’s weird
That it has gone — extracts are all I read.
Apparently the document appeared
Just briefly, then was scrubbed. it was agreed,
By whom I’ve no idea, there was no need
For common peaceful folk to read such stuff:
How evil grew, from what pernicious seed.
No, those extracts we’re told are quite enough.
His manifesto must remain suppressed;
And after all, our guardians know best.

Bully for Bullies

Bully for Bullies

For bullies I’m making a stand.
I’m drawing a line in the sand.
You say you detest me?
That you will arrest me?
Hey bully! Let go of my hand!

So how is a bully defined?
Aggressive no doubt, and unkind.
Brash, rude, overbearing,
Callous, and uncaring?
(What if it is all in one’s mind?)

Bullies are as old as the hills.
The strong, would once weaken their wills —
Would hit bullies back;
Their egos attack.
Now bullies are neutered with pills.

Ban bullies? A wish badly aimed,
Advanced by the mentally lamed.
At first they will name him;
They think that will shame him?
He’ll simply pretend to be tamed.

They serve a societal role,
Though victimizing is their goal.
They’re a weight to be borne.
They deserve all our scorn;
But their pestering strengthens the soul.
