Our key witness Your Honor, a bird –
Bud the parrot. He saw and he heard
The accused shoot her spouse.
He was there in the house.
Said the dubious judge: “That’s absurd!

While I’m sure that he saw the man die;
Take the word of a bird? Tell me why?
Were he human I would;
Tell me bird, why I should!”
Said the parrot: ”Well, I never lie.”

We’re the HuffingandPuffington Post.
We’re the Liberal site with the most
Biased reporting;
With nuts we’re consorting,
And if you disagree then you’re toast!

We’re told that the majority agree:
The pressing issue of this Commonwealth
Does not concern defence or industry.
It’s not the cost of energy, or health,
Or living – all of which advance by stealth.
Youth unemployment? No – it still will climb.
It has nothing to do with work or wealth,
Nor is it about terrorists or crime,
For it concerns the social paradigm;
To shift it – the quest of the Left’s vanguard,
Where values that have stood the test of time,
By plebiscite, they’re seeking to discard.
It seems the question will be put to bed,
And same-sex couples will or won’t be wed.

Australian poet, Gay marriage, limerick, Limerick poem, poem, poetry

They’re soon to be married I hear.
Strange nuptials are drawing near.
With values inverted,
What’s now thought perverted?
Being straight may be soon being queer.

Australian poet, limerick, Limerick poem, Limerick poetry, poem, poetry, Sodomy

You can argue that it’s not a vice.
You can coat it with sugar and spice.
You may think it a fact
That it’s not a low act –
But you can’t say that sodomy’s nice.

First purple was painted as gay,
Now rainbows have gone the same way.
With most colours queer,
The time’s drawing near
When all we’ll be left with is grey.

A symbol of evil – a show of force;
Malevolent mascot – a snow-white horse.
His name it is “Traveler”, like General Lee’s,
And so the delusional left decrees:
“The steed is a racist – of course! of course!”

Hitlers are everywhere.
There’s one! Hey mate, pull up a chair!
So you disagree
With our viewpoint? – I see,
Then a swastika you have to wear!

Nearly everyone is Hitler

It’s erosion upon a grand scale.
Were it man’s doing, how they would wail
Of such wanton destruction;
Heed Nature’s instruction –
Beside her great sculptures ours pale.

For only one side will they fight;
So best we examine their sight.
On closer inspection
It’s clear their direction
Is due to their blindness to right.
