All stuff (except for ours) the state now owns.
And by the state, we mean the global state.
Apart for your pathetic flesh and bones,
Youโ€™ve no possessions โ€” weโ€™ll decide your fate.
Weโ€™ll issue you with special mobile phones,
So we can listen in to all you say.
Youโ€™ll be observed around the clock by drones โ€”
We must know where you go, and where you stay.
You need not fear as long as you obey
Our clear directives โ€” do as you are told.
Make no mistake, all deviants will pay.
(In sweat and blood โ€” since we have all the gold)

To Covid we must now extend our thanks โ€”
We didnโ€™t need those missiles, guns, and tanks.

The Soviets destroyed nobility;
The savages rose up to take control โ€”
Harnessed the rest to serve futility;
And twenty million was the final toll.

Reversal

The time has come to watch the old ways fall,
As from the bottom rises what once fell –
What has decayed and has decayโ€™s sweet smell.
What once loomed large will shrink until itโ€™s small,
And lowest things will rise to be the tall.
And thick will float the flotsam on the swell,
As downward sink the sainted souls to Hell.
The oldest lies will be believed by all.
Past heroes will be vilest villains now.
All once thought right will surely now be wrong.
The noble and their courage men will curse,
As those once brave down to the cowards bow.
Admired will be the weak – reviled the strong,
And what was true will be quite the reverse.

Banished!

He disagrees with our most sacred views.
He has millions of followers itโ€™s said.
He claims that weโ€™re conveyors of fake news.
(Thatโ€™s news? We after all share the same bed!)
By poor misguided people he is read.
It would be best if he would disappear.
A snake will die if you cut off its head;
A body minus fangs one neednโ€™t fear.
Of course his friends and followers will jeer.
Theyโ€™ll no doubt say that we have been unkind;
But itโ€™s a leftward course that we must steer,
And to the left must turn each fragile mind.
He must be silenced, lest some be beguiled
By his damned facts โ€“ do we agree? – Exiled!

Devils

I read it just now in โ€œThe Newsโ€;
Socialism is what they would choose.
No battles theyโ€™ve braved
And no money theyโ€™ve saved –
Therefore they have nothing to lose.

Horses for Cortez

She will muster her socialist forces
To make bridles for capitalist horses.

When the capitalist horses are tamed,
Much more of their oats may be claimed.

And no โ€œneigh!โ€ may be written or spoken,
Once capitalist horses are broken.

On a socialist horse she will ride,
And its saddle wonโ€™t be to the side.

There will be an ass with a side-saddle
For old Bernie โ€“ Cortez likes to straddle.

Old Bernie will sit on his ass,
And follow the Latino lass.

She is young – has no wisdom or brains,
But she has a firm grip on the reins.

Cortez, heroin of the poor!
The socialist conquistador!

There will be no girls and no boys.
All children will have the same toys.
But how could this be?
Itโ€™s easy to see:
The sane didnโ€™t make enough noise.

Communism, it levels all men.
Remember those gory days when
Its bloody stain spread?
And the millions of dead?
Yet they still wish to try it again.

In London the buildings are burning,
While some for the old days are yearning.
The slums are returning,
For many arenโ€™t earning –
But little are Londoners learning.
