Хлеб и цирки

Before they could tend to the rot,

The nobles were gulaged or shot.

And all things that were good,

And the crosses of wood —

Bread and circuses replaced the lot.

The Soviets destroyed nobility;
The savages rose up to take control —
Harnessed the rest to serve futility;
And twenty million was the final toll.

𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬

Collectivism doesn’t work my friends;
How many times do you have to be told?
When communists take over freedom ends,
As hope and truth are banished to the cold.
The powerful then gather up the gold,
And give a little to their useful fools.
And all the rest must do as they are told,
Including giving up the family jewels.
Old Bernie and J Corbyn are just tools
Used by their hidden masters to gain power —
String puppets, and the puppeteers are ghouls
Who pull upon their strings from ivory towers.
The left and communists share the same bed;
Beneath their green facades they all are red.

Commuzombies

We killed off communism once again;
But then we turned around and it was back.
And so we fought it, knocked it down, and then,
We killed off communism once again.
But soon the fiend came crawling from its den;
And so we bashed its skull, and heard it crack.
We killed off communism once again;
But then we turned around and it was back.

Our designated carer. Thou art insane.
Supreme Leader be thy name.
Thy International Commune come.
Thy will be done, in Gaia,
As in the Asylum.
Give us this day our daily organic, high-fibre bread,
And forgive us everything,
But forgive not the unbelievers.
And lead us not into rational thinking
But deliver us from logic,
For thine is the International Commune:
The Power of the prison and the Glory of the gulag.

Holodomor

In the Ukraine the Kulaks tilled the soil
To grow the grain to make the daily bread.
Was by their enterprise and by their toil,
That all who lived in the Ukraine were fed.
But now their neighbour Russia burned bright red,
And Stalin said: “The Kulaks all must die!
For by their class our enemies are led –
And our collectivism they defy.
Without them there will be no wheat or rye.
The fields where grain once grew will then be bare,
And in their millions will the dead there lie.”
So for the vanished Kulaks say a prayer.
Think for a moment of their pain and fear;
And don’t think it could never happen here.

A wise man wrote that men are mostly slaves
Who envy all who have, while they have not.
Until the ones who have, rest in their graves,
The uber-slaves within the herds will plot.
The slaves don’t wish to rise – it is their lot
To be ignoble, but they must bring low
The master, and his works – his honour blot.
They’d strike this stronger man a mortal blow;
A thrust to pierce his body from below.
The higher man on their bowed heads would bleed,
And so his wealth unto the slaves would flow;
For what he calls his wealth, the slaves call greed.
Afflicted by their slave morality,
They seek no pathway to nobility.

The 1%

They’re wealthy and yet they want more!
Comrades, against greed we’ll wage war!
We’ll take all of their dough!
Bring the rich bastards low!
I’d rather that we were all poor.

The 99%

They are certainly making a fuss.
They riot, they scream and they cuss.
Amongst all this confusion
I’ve reached a conclusion –
There are lots more of them than of us.

Communism, it levels all men.
Remember those gory days when
Its bloody stain spread?
And the millions of dead?
Yet they still wish to try it again.

Communism – it never stays dead;
That’s despite all the millions who’ve bled.
Watch it rise from the grave
To control and enslave
In the guise of old Bernie the Red.
