Itโ€™s obvious; the split is now too wide.

There is no chance such gaping wounds can heal.

There is no common ground โ€” a stark divide;

No compromise; no way to cut a deal.

But stay united for the common weal?

Forget it โ€” that would surely end in woe.

A separation will a truth reveal โ€”

That old one โ€” all will reap but what they sow.

For oneโ€™s intent is high, the otherโ€™s low;

And natureโ€™s laws suggest the first will win.

Itโ€™s time to end this endless to and fro;

The union must now take it on the chin.

The best outcome would be a swift divorce;

A civil warโ€™s unthinkable of course.

Itโ€™s come to this – you must choose where you stand.
No longer can you sit upon the fence.
You must comply, or join the outlaw band.
Become a drone, or keep your soul and sense.
And if you choose the later, your defence
Will need attending to, youโ€™ll be attacked;
For you will be a threat to order, hence
Be on your guard, and counter lie with fact.
The former by their powerful friends are backed;
They have infernal forces on their side.
With โ€œuseful foolsโ€ their rabid ranks are packed;
Youโ€™ll have but logic โ€“ and no place to hide.
The choice is yours โ€“ I hope you get it right;
You’re not the kind of guy I wish to fight.

Powder Keg

Itโ€™s doubtful that itโ€™s now a nation.
Itโ€™s really a hotchpotch creation,
All split and fragmented,
With nothing cemented โ€“
A model of Balkanization.
