The old man has seen plagues and war,
But not such foolishness before.
He stares out from his lonely cave,
And thinks the Swedes are rather brave.
Heโd take his chances โ stand and fight,
But that no longer is his right.
They say they wish to keep him well.
Heโd tell them all to go to Hell.
Old friends and places heโll not see,
If he dies in captivity.

Sheltering is a dismal task.
To hide my shame, I wear a mask.
I see few masks here. Funny, I passed a truck on the road yesterday and the driver (on his own) was wearing a mask.
It’s a bummer. That’s for sure. Our governor decided to extend our shelter-at-home orders for another 30 days — with some minor allowances for a few businesses moving toward re-opening. But it was still a heavy situation and way too much confinement. But one of our Conservative Representatives filed a law suit against the governor because he had exceeded the limit of his power to restrain individuals and businesses. The court ruled in favor of the representative, so he won, but it allowed only him to be exempt from the governor’s orders — and the governor is fighting that hard.
However, a second lawmaker has now filed a lawsuit against the governor as well, and his suit is worded so that it would exempt all the citizens in the state. We’ll see what happens. About 20 states have actually started working toward opening businesses, so that’s at least a breath of fresh air. And a number of doctors and hospital workers are beginning to come forward and offer evidence and testimony that the media has been feeding the public lies (which, of course, we knew), and that the virus is nowhere near as dangerous as the public has been led to believe.(We knew that too.) Some doctors are now testifying that they have been ordered by authorities to put covid 19 down as a cause of death when it was not the cause of death at all. So that’s forcing some officials to back pedal and change their “death from covid-19 numbers
Our farmers and ranchers are having to destroy their harvests because the businesses in between them and the people who eat their produce are all shut down. Cattlemen are being instructed to euthanize their cattle and some other livestock because there are no processing plants open. But — for some insane reason — we are accepting shipments of meat from foreign countries — one that I’ve never even heard of.
Things WILL change here soon. If they don’t change from the governors offices, they will change with riots in the streets. People are fed up with being lied to and being kept prisoners in their own homes. Well — some people are. The others are believing every single thing they hear on the liberal news outlets and are scared to move an inch unless it’s sanctioned by the “experts.” But there are enough who are fed up to start turning things around.
You may already know all of this from hearing it on the news, but I figured if your news outlets are as messed up as ours, you may have missed some of it, so I’m passing it on. ๐
Pretty much under control here Sandra and many people in my state ignoring restrictions and working, particularly in the open. I think the way to go would have been common sense restrictions and keep the economy going โ too late now. Thanks for the info.
