Sorry U.S.A. – sorry to gloat,
But to get to us they need a boat.
The so-called refugees,
They must cross stormy seas.
We don’t need a wall – we have a moat.
Brilliant final line!
Thanks Tom.
Oh, and you are so blessed to have it.
This is often overlooked by those Australians quick to criticize Trump’s wall plans. We have 2 third world countries just to the north. Indonesia is the world’s most populous Muslim country and Papua New Guinea (where I spent quite a few years) is a total basket-case propped up by Australian tax dollars. If we had land-borders with these two countries we would need a wall too – and a high one.
Yes, you’re fortunate. And the size of your moat probably saved you from the Japanese in the early part of WWII. Our Atlantic moat at least spares us from some of the Muslim refugees that flood into parts of Europe (until the liberal Murdercrats like Obama let down the drawbridge and invite them in).
Yes, moats are handy and the upkeep is minimal.
And in some places, yours is well-supplied with sharks.
Hmmm, I wonder if a moat would get quicker approval from the Swamp Rats in the USA Congress?
Maybe President Trump could sell it as a vacation spot for Politicians.
