Obama said, that should Trump win, the world
Will end: chaos will reign; the sky will fall;
Into a fiery chasm we’ll be hurled.
No shelter will there be. No roof or wall
Will hold back Nature’s ire. No building tall
Or low that won’t be razed unto the ground
By wind and fire, and no escape, as all
The life upon the Earth: the things that bound
And those that crawl, or swim in seas, around
The planet will be turned to smoking ash,
Until no living breathing thing be found;
No heart to beat and no teeth left to gnash.
Thus spoke Obama from his pulpit high.
(And Barack never has been known to lie.)
Some people are frequent flyers and others are frequent liars.
Hillary must have a lot of points.
Great Spenserian sonnet, Dennis!
The more I write, the more I like them Tom – thanks for getting me interested in the Spenserian sonnet.
