Our target – the worn and the weak;
The down–trodden – victims we seek.
They’re not the salubrious sort,
But members we need their support
And so we must do all we can
To snare every woman and man
Who feels that the world surely owes
Them big for their failures and woes.
Be like them, get into their heads;
They wouldn’t know fascists from reds.
The secret to getting their votes
(I hope you are all taking notes)
Is being compliant and nice
And spending regardless of price.
For cash, will their loyalty buy.
They’re stupid – they’ll never ask why
Or how in the end we will pay.
In conclusion – I’d just like to say:
Their values they must see reflected
In order that we get elected.
Good poem and it hits the nail on the head in regard to our Democratic Party, unfortunately. I suppose the end result of such a system is so much debt and an inability to pay off the voters that keep putting them in power that those restless and ignorant masses then revolt and anarchy is the result. 😦
