It’s Australia day – my bar b que
Will be sizzling with emu and roo.
Grilling our coat of arms
Beats tame meat from the farms,
Plus I’ll sauté some koala stew.

Do you really eat that stuff??? I don’t know why, but it sounds worse than cows and chickens. Of course, it isn’t worse, but I’m not very adventurous when it comes to meat. In fact, over the past several years, I find that I don’t eat nearly as much meat of any kind as I used to. However, my favorite meat of all time is still bacon, and I doubt that I’ll ever remove that from my menu. Enjoy your barbecue.
HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY!
Kangaroo? – sure, but I have to admit I have never tried emu – would be a bit oily I think, and of course Koalas are protected (and taste strongly of gum leaves apparently). Yes, we are the only nation that eats its coat of arms – I doubt you eat bald eagles. 😉
