“Call me Islam!” The elephant cried.
“I am here in the room, tall and wide.
My sharp tusks! – Can’t you see!
Over here! Look at me!
My existence cannot be denied!”
It seems Obama is doing his best to ignore the elephant in the room and its sharp tusks. 😦 Well done.
It does bard.
Well, this one is SO PERFECT, I have no words. A social commentary that describes our horrible dilemma exactly — and in just 31 words — and with rhyme no less! You’re still the master at this as far as I’m concerned. This one’s going to FB as well.
Reblogged this on The Right Word Makes All The Difference and commented:
Dennis O’Brien is one of the best poetic satirists and social commentators I’ve been privileged to know. Once again, he’s given us the perfect description of the mentality of the liberal West. I wish I could say this much in so few words, but, alas, I usually need at least four or five times as many to make the point. I’m proud to consider this man my friend, and I hope his work finds more open doors and more avenues through which to prick the consciences of the Western Governments.
Glad you liked it Sandra.
