An alien from outer space observed the kangaroo,
Returning home he had a tale to tell.
A thousand years passed by and then back to the Earth he flew,
And saw that it was still alive and well.
Thanks Betty – There is a poem in the August archives called “The Cursed Land” which has a photo of kangaroos taken in our place not far from our house. These are Eastern Greys. At the moment the joeys are just leaving their mother’s pouches as they are getting too big.
Did he roo the fact that it was still alive?
It caught him on the hop 😉
‘Twas not the selfsame macropod
But he thought so, the silly sod.
And they all went hoppity hop… 🙂
Nice to know that some things never change,
Nice to know we are not alone in the Cosmos,
Nice work Dennis.
Kind regards,
T.
I enjoyed that! 🙂
(Wish we had a kangaroo, I’ve only seen one in a zoo…)

This alien, whomever/whatever he/she/it may be, is kind to acknowledge the kangaroo, who, has managed to survive here, no matter what we do…
